ENERGY SAVING

Self-service laundromats are major consumers of electricity and gas.

It is shown that around 50% of the electricity consumption in laundromats corresponds to water heating for the washing machines.

Laundromats typically have water heater tanks that preheat the water using electrical heating elements before it is used by the washing machines.

On the other hand, dryers burn gas, which, after passing through the laundry, is exhausted outdoors while very hot and humid.

This gas can reach up to 80ºC, representing a very significant waste of energy.

ECOBLASTER captures the exhaust gases from the dryers, treats them to eliminate steam, odors, and lint, and additionally recovers the thermal energy from the gas, heating the water used by the washing machines.

In many cases, the recovered heat is sufficient to eliminate the need for supplemental water heating, entirely removing this electricity consumption from the electric bill.

In these cases, electricity savings amount to 50% of the laundromat's total consumption.
